The Mediterranean climate of Majorca (or Mallorca) is characterized by mild winters and hot summers. The average temperature ranges from 10°C in January to 25°C in August. Yearly precipitation amounts to about 400 millimeters on average.

Summer

Summer, which runs from June to mid-September, is characterized by hot and sunny weather, with rare thunderstorms. The highest temperature during the season ranges from 35°C to 38°C. In addition, this is the sunniest period of the year, besides September, when the first Atlantic disturbances reach the island.

Winter

Winter, which lasts from December to February, is mild, and sunny days, but also with rainy and windy periods. At nights, the temperature can drop to the freezing point. The daytime temperatures may also be cold and windy, with highs below 10 °C.
