The Mediterranean climate of Majorca (or Mallorca) is characterized by mild winters and hot summers. In addition, this is the sunniest period of the year, besides September, when the first Atlantic disturbances reach the island.


Winter, which lasts from December to February, is mild, and sunny days, but also with rainy and windy periods. At nights, the temperature can drop to the freezing point. The daytime temperatures may also be cold and windy, with highs below 10 °C.
